Blessings for Nollaig na mBan, for ‘Women’s Christmas’ or ‘Little Christmas’. A time to celebrate feminine wisdom, and so you’ll be meeting the Bean Feasa, the ‘woman of otherworldly knowledge’, on the guided journey I share with you on this auspicious day. This is our first creative ritual of 2026 and as promised, it is a Celtic Shapeshifter guided journey to meet your animal spirit or guardian: your more-than-human-kin within.
Over the years, I’ve created variants of this practice. This one came during Christmastide, very early one morning as I was walking the land. It was glistening with frost in what felt like a conversation, a living response communicating back to me with each step that I took. When I set out, I called to our more-than-human-kin to inspire and co-create this Celtic Shapeshifter practice, to let it come as I walked. And it did.
In this journey, you will travel into a sídhe portal, a fairy mound, where the Bean Feasa will gently guide you to embody the sage animal spirit that lives within you. If you like, you can touch in with your shapechanging ancestors before you embark, or when you return.
