Today is grianstad an tsamhraidh, ‘sun stop of the summer’, or summer solstice in English. The energy of Bealtaine—the ‘mouth of fire’—is at its highest. This is an auspicious day.

A time to ask: how will I create space today to allow the illuminations of the solstice to guide my path forward between now and the winter solstice (the apex of Samhain)?

On this threshold, I want to personally invite you to step through the door into your own secret garden, a symbol of your soul, and to join with an expansive tuath, a ‘tribe’ of fellow soul gardeners, as we spend two months of intentional tending to the creative dreams alive inside us. We are in unprecedented times of reactivity, but it’s our creativity that is the greatest maker of change. When we create our lives from a place of desire—from the Latin, de sidere, meaning ‘from the stars’—we become the light of our own North Star. This illuminates our path forward for us and for those we create in service to.

As the solstice sun rises, casting its circle of light through ancient Irish megaliths like Lios na Gráinsí, Grange Stone Circle on the sun goddess Áine’s land, built to capture this solar moment, today marks a threshold between before and after.

This course is an elixir of Celtic seasonal wisdom and mythic imagination rooted in the Irish tradition, teachings from medieval alchemy, dreamwork, and bodywork, fused with tools for innovation. My own academic background blends Medieval Irish and Celtic Studies, Anthropology, Creativity and Innovation in Education, and Jungian Psychology with Art Therapy, ingredients that inform what you’ll experience in this course.
